Bam! [4 May 2011]

Thanks to Marisol and Heather from La Jolla Playhouse’s YPW Program for today’s workshop.

  1. Humanities: Tomorrow we will discuss your next humanities project and decide on a format for the end-of-year presentations of learning.

  2. Pre-Algebra: 3D solids were the focus of today’s class. What is the difference between a prism and a pyramid? Homework is selected questions from 7-4.

  3. Math Square Challenge: Elizabeth and I shared an interesting math problems with you in Morning Meeting. Each of you need to put some time into finding answers to the following questions: Can you find different numbers that require four steps to complete the square? What is the minimum number of steps possible? What is the maximum number of steps possible? Can you find a “rule” to predict how many steps there will be? We will be sharing on Friday, May 13.

  4. Español: Trabajen en su proyecto basado en el futuro. La fecha de entrega es el viernes, 6 de mayo.
